Understanding and Reducing Dark Circles: Expert Advice

Question
Hello Dr. Aukerman!

I'm not sure If I have the right doctor, but when in doubt go for the best. I'm sure this is asked way too much, but no one ever has a good answer. Whats up with dark circles under the eyes? is there anything at all, that can at least reduce it? I've heard drinking alot of water can help, I'm looking for something I can do at home, not spend about hundreds on a tiny bottle of cream. Maybe it's impossible, but I really cant find anything on it. Any any suggestions/ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Answer
Whats up with dark circles under the eyes? This is usually due to either sinus infections, allergy, chronic nutrient deficiency, metabolic disorder or kidney disease.

is there anything at all, that can at least reduce it?
Yes, if you stop all latex containing foods( basically all out of season fruits and produce), decrease the omega 6 and gluten in your diet and take enough magnesium oxide twice a day to have 2-3 bowel movements a day plus take enough omega 3 twice a day to combat the overload of omega 6 in your diet plus a high potency B complex twice a day.
These all cost very little and leave you nutrient normal.
My patients get them at CVS, Walgreens, Target, or Osco by buying the one free with one deals for little money. They are much better in 6-8 weeks but you should check with your doctor. No creams oils or cosmetic preparation will help here since the problem is not cosmetic but internal.
