Hi Dr. Aukerman,

I have a little itchy red spot just above my ankle bone on my right leg. It looks like a pimple but it is itchy. I've applied tea tree oil and evn iodine. But it doesn't seem to want to go away. And it's still itchy. I had a full dermatology checkup about a month ago and all was fine. The spot has been there about 2 weeks. Any idea what it could be and how I can treat it. I thought if I just keep applying iodine, it would eventually just flake off-thanks?

It could be a foreign body reaction so the doctor may need to freeze it if it does not go away. YOu can try applying crisco shortening to it at bedtime every night for a week. If it is still there it would need doctor treatment.
