Are the scans that test for brain injury safe for the brain? Is there
any risks as far as the scans go? Thanks

Hi Nick,
A brain scan (I assume you mean CAT Scan) are safe. Like any of these tests there is radiation in play but with technology as it is, less is necessary to do the test. Of course you wouldn't want to have too many of these. A diagnostic CT of the brain is painless and will render good information. Occasionally, it is necessary to follow a CT with an MRI if findings of the CT are equivocal.
