QuestionHi, recently I went to the bathroom and before i sat down noticed what looked like a pale coloured worm about 4 inches long. It got me thinking, my anus does itch sometimes, and my stomach doesn't feel quite right alot of the time (kinda bloated, and some nausea). I just wondered what this might be, because the only information I seem to be able to find talks about very small worms, will a normal threadworm treatment fix the problem or not?

Can I assume that this "worm" was hanging from the anal opening or was it in your underware? Depending on the worm, it could be that long. Associated with bloating and nausea, this should be evaluated. If you can, catch one of these and bring it into the doctor's office at your visit.
