Gadolinium Persistence After MRI: A Case Study & Heavy Metal Testing

Question
My wife (Shannon Stocker, MD) has MS and CRPS.  She is on
many medictions to treat symptoms of these diseases.  We ran a
Challenge test for heavy metals because she had a standard
urine test showing her bismuth at nephratoxic levels (nearly 180
ug/g when the reference range was under 7.4)  Her new test
showed many heavy metals in higher than average
concentrations, but most disconcerting was Gadolinium, which
showed at 2.3 ug/g creatinine when the reference level was
under .019.  SHe had MRIs with contrast within the past 6
months, but the last was in excess of 2 months ago.  It is my
undeerstanding that Gadolionum is typically expelled very fast,
as is Bismuth (her exposure has been chronic Pepro tabs
prescribed by her physician for GERD).  Shuld we be concerned
about kidney failure or other underlying problems?

Thank you for your time.

Answer
Hi Greg and thanks for writing,

I did quite a bit of online research as I do not know about Gadolinium toxicity and everything I read stated that there have not been adequate studies done on the topic. I have attached a few links for your reference which I hope help.
