Question
Starting almost 2 yrs ago,I started getting severe pain in my feet and shins. The doctor thought it was shin splint, and planters, but it wasnt. It has become so bad I can barely walk,I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia. What is so strange is how it started in the lower body and traveled throughout the rest of my body.I am in so much pain that my whole life has been disrupted.I use to jog everyday and go on nature hikes with my boys.I was a very active person and now it takes everything I have to get out of bed. Please I need help I have an appointment with my Doc on Tuesday who is going to refer me to a diagnostic to further ivestigate my situation.I need ideas thoughts what could this be.Thankyou

Answer
Hi Leah,
It could be fibromyalgia. It also could be Polymyalgia Rheumatica. Unfortunately, without a face to face exam and a good medical history It's kind of hard for me to give you a definitive answer. I would certainly go forward with testing so you can better pinpoint a cause.
