QuestionI'm a 22 yr old male, good overall health. About a month and 1 week ago, I was sleeping on the couch and when I woke up and went to sit up i felt like a sudden pop in the back of my head, it hurt really bad at first and i thought i was going to throw up, and i was really scared so i went to the er, they just told me that it was a headache and gave me some pain medicine, well the medicine worked a little but the pain was still there, i've been still having the headaches, so my doc ordered a ct scan of the head, with and without the contrast, well i went and had the ct scan withOUT the contrast (about 2 weeks ago), but didnt do it with the contrast b/c i was scared of it, now i wish i would have done it. anyways.....i'm still having these weird headaches, its like kinda a constant dull pressure/ache, with short sharp stabbing pains in the top right side of my head, i get them everyday, probably at least one every thirty minutes. i noticed that i've been really irritable to lately, i guess b/c of the pain. i havent heard anything back about the ct scan, which takes forever because its a charity hospital. and i sometimes have the pressure/ache pain by my right temple and lower like around my ear and jaw. also a few times i have experienced ringing in my ears, and when i go outside the sun really hurts my eyes, and i constantly squint. what does this sound like it could be? anuerysm, brain tumor???????
AnswerI would still be worried about some of those possibilities, even though, statistically it prob isn't.... but you may need an MRI or MRA.... magnetic reson imaging or angiogram of the head... I would see your primary doctor and possibly a neurologist..... to be sure....
