Cold Weather & Urination: Does Cold Trigger More Frequent Bathroom Breaks?
QuestionI was wondering would you please tell me: is it a fact that cold weather dose make us go to the toilet more often?
Thanks
AnswerHey Cameron,
It is true that exposure to cold temperatures causes a reduced blood flow to the skin by constricting the blood vessels. This reduces the blood volume thereby increasing the blood pressure. The body's then wants to reduce the volume by getting rid of water in the
urine. So when w feel the cold, we do want to pee.
Take care,
Margot
