Understanding Sudden Nausea: Causes, Relief & Potential Connections to Vertigo
QuestionHello,
I am a 32 year old female. For the last 6 months I have been getting episodes on nauseau. These episodes come on out of the blue and can last days. Sometimes I feel lightheaded before these episodes. I have had an mri of head and abdomen, as well as an upper GI and tons of blood test. Everything is normal except I have a small sliding hernia for whgich I take tecta. Can this be a variation of vertigo, even though I don't feel dizzy eith the nausea. Laying down helps me not to feel sick.
Thank you.
AnswerI don't know what tecta is but I would try zantac or prilosec initially and if that doesn't work, you will have to keep pushing your GI for an answer.... some foods may precipitate this... like milk products, but try the stomach med then see... I hope this helps.....
