Marima (Fibroids): Experiences, Treatment & Concerns
Questionhi i have a marima in im 22 years of age and i have stopped period havent put weight on much but i did catch a pelvic flammatory dease from it but docs got me on tablets an since i been on them my belly has gone down so for those women who have put on weight from it go get it checkout... i dont like it at all so once i get my medication ill get it removed. but people tell me that young people shouldn't have it in an that that docs shouldn't of okayd it cos im so young still. and that it effects my if i wont kids later on in life is that true??? an would it effect me because i haven't had my period for over 3 years??

I assume you are talking about a mirena IUD? Yes, I would recommend that you have this removed. I don't believe that this method is healthy to a woman.
Insist that your doctor remove it if you have any problems. And if that doctor won't remove it, go to another. It is your right to have the kind of birth control that you want. I don't know if it will affect your fertility but I can do some research if you like.
