QuestionI HAD A C-SECTION WITH MY 1ST CHILD. IS THERE ANY CHANCE ILL HAVE ANOTHER C-SECTION OR CAN I REQUEST TO HAVE ONE. MY BODY CANT HANDLE BAING PREGNANT, SO I GO INTO LABOR MANY TIMES AFTER MY 6 MONTH. I ALSO LOST 3 OTHER CHILDREN. AND ALSO ABOUT MY HCG LEVEL. ON THE 13TH IS WAS 19, ON THE 16TH IT WAS 95, ON THE 20TH IT WAS 528, ON THE 22ND IT WAS 1,899, ON THE 27TH IT WAS ABOVE 6,000, AND ON THE 29TH IT WAS 14,335. ON THE 29TH I WAS 5WKS. AND 4 DAYS. IS THE HCG LEVEL NORMAL FOR ME BEING A LITTLE OVER 5 WKS. OR IS IT POSSIABLE THAT I COULD BE HAVING MORE THAN ONE.
AnswerHi Kristie!
There is a chance you will need to have a c-section, especially if you have a previous history of going into premature labor. Most doctors will encourage you to carry the baby as long as it is feasible. On your next visit with your medical caregiver, explain your concerns and together you can come with the option that is best for you and your situation. With you being only 5 weeks pregnant, however, it may be that your caregiver/doctor will want to wait further into the pregnancy to assess your condition. Every pregnancy is different. =)
Before 10 weeks, it is often difficult to assess the presence of multiple births by HCG levels because the amount and rise can vary so greatly. Your HCG levels are a little high, but it would not necessary mean that you are having twins. Here is a handy chart you can look at which shows HCG levels throughout pregnancy and the variations within them:
