Understanding Mammogram Results: 10mm Lesion, Irregular Margins & Calcifications
Questionok i got mamo results over phone so i only picked up on some key words they said they found something 10mm-5mm said non malignace and benign but there were irregular margins and some calcification...i thought irregular margins and calcification meant cancer so why would they say non malignant and benig i am so confused want me to have another mamo or ultrasound ...so confused could you explain to me what you get out of these results please
AnswerNot all calcifications are cancer suspect. Irregular margins may make a finding cancer suspect but again it is a matter of context. To be able to answer this with ANY confidence I do need to read your full report. When you have it you may copy it here if you so wish.
