Ortho Tri-Cyclen & Irregular Pill Timing: Impact on Fertility & Backup Plans

I recently have been taking Ortho Tri-Cyclen LO and i dont take my pill at the same time everyday. I TRY to take it early in the morning, but its not at the same time everyday. Sometimes its later in the day. I dont miss pills though! Also i was told that i dont have to take the green pill because there sugar pills. how true is that?  The other day  while having sex with a condom, it completly broke and we didnt realize it untill it was way to late. Whats my chances on possibly being pregnant?  thank U!

The pill should be taken within two hours everyday. Taking it outside that time will lower its effectiveness - but by only a very small amount. Don't worry about pregnancy - but keep using condoms when you have sex - it's the only way to be sure that you are safe!
You don't have to take the green pills, but I suggest that you do since they help you remember when to start a new pack and you also stay in the habit of taking your pills. I believe that they contain vitamins also!
