Microgynon 30: Adjusting Pill Timing & Contraceptive Effectiveness

Question
I take microgynon 30 as a contraceptive pill. I normally take it at 9am but when I start my next pack I'd like to start taking it at 10pm. When I take the first pill of my next pack it will therefore be 13 hours after I'd normally take it. Will I need to take extra precautions for the following 7 days? Thanks

Answer
Hi Charley,
First of all, I want to say that I'm not a medical professional. I have done lots of research on the subject but I still suggest that you consult your physician. What is the reason that you would like to change the time you take the pill? I'm not sure if you would really need to take other precautions but if you want to, it's fine. Even taking the pills exactly correctly, it still is not 100% sure of preventing pregnancy. The only method 100% sure is abstinence. I only recommend non-hormonal methods, such as condoms (not very effective) and Natural Family Planning.
