Answer
Ovulation generally occurs between 12-14 days BEFORE your period starts, no matter how long your cycle is.

Any medication can be dangerous, especially during the first trimester, first weeks of pregnancy.  REad the package insert that comes with the drug for the risks.

It is possible to conceive during your period but unlikely.  It depends on the length of your cycle.  More likely during a short cycle, less likely if your cycle is longer than 28-30 days.

Withdrawal symptoms do not cause side effects that can harm the baby.  The drugs cause side effects, the end of the drugs in your system is beneficial not harmful.  IT may be hard on you physically but in the long run, the result is a positive.
