Starting Birth Control Pills During Your Period: What to Expect

I have not started my frist pack of the pill yet.  The doctor wants me to start it on the first day of my period.  My question is will I have a full period or will it stop?  If I begin taking the pill before my period will I still get my period this month?

It is always best to listen to your doctor. If you do something other than what he or she says and you have a problem, what will you do? What is the problem with starting the pills when he tells you to?

If you begin the pills at the wrong time your body will become confused because the pills mimic your body cycles. You will probably get your period. Do what your doctor advises.
