Birth Control Effectiveness: Nuvaring & Pregnancy Concerns

Me and my boyfriend have sex on a regular basis and I am on the Nuvaring. We never use protection and I'm scared I might be pregnant. I took my ring out over a week ago for the new cycle to begin and haven't had a period, just in case, I took a pregnancy test. It came out negative, but I'm still worried that him pregnant, I don't want to put a new ring in just in case. My question is, what are the chances that I am pregnant, and how often on birth control can women get pregnant?

The chances of getting pregnant on birth control depend on the kind of birth control you are using. Some methods are much more effective in stopping pregnancy. If you are not using any birth control the chances of your becoming pregnant are pretty good. It might take a bit of time for your body to get over the Nuvaring. But after that, your chances are good.
