QuestionQUESTION: So last thursday(CD17)i took plan b even though the chances where slim being as though no semen went IN me but more of ON me with some on the hair. So to dissolve those "slim" chances i took the plan b, but i took them both at the same time since i read online that researchers have shown that you can now take both of them at the same time within 120 hours (5 days). Well i took it within 48 hours. I thought it would reassure me and take the whole thought of it off my shoulders, but its still urking me down in my gut. Reason why is b/c the day before(CD 16) I ovulated & then all of a sudden i take the plan b the following day. I know they said you would feel abdominal pains & whatnot for a day or two, which i did, but now im still having some light cramping pains and some sharp ones every once in a while on either one side or both. Along with some headaches. That made me think for a minute that it maybe it didnt work since i technically didnt take them the way i was suppose to, but rather them both within 48 hours. So here i am coming to ask, with taking them both at the same time cause unwanted pregnancy? If taking them the day after i ovulated cause them not to work? would the cramps im feeling be from ovulation or something else?
ANSWER: You ask many questions and I am not very clear about what you did. If I could sort them out it seems you are concerned about pregnancy and took both the pill and plan b. If that is the case your chances of pregnancy are slight.
If you are still worried about pregnancy and you miss your period by one week, take a home pregnancy test exactly according to directions.

QUESTION: the main questions that i am asking are that if taking both pills of plan b at the same time, would that cause them not to be effective. Also, with taking plan b the day after ovulation would that cause them not to work as well?
AnswerAny and all medication must be taken according to directions to work as designed. So I don't know about taking both plan B pills at the same time. I am not sure what you mean about taking it the day after ovulation. It is difficult if not impossible to pinpoint the day of ovulation. Women who are highly experienced with charting their symptoms of fertility such as the cervical mucus, and ovulatory symptoms are those who can identify the time of ovulation. You didn't mention such experience.
