Understanding Post-Contact Bleeding & Birth Control Concerns

Question
Hello thank you for taking the time to answer my question so here goes.  I
would like to begin by saying that iam on birth control. On the 28th i had went
over to my boyfriends house and did not have sex but he ejaculated on my
private area. I believe nothing went inside but now iam having some doubts.
Two days later I had noticed some brownish discharge when i wipe. this
discharge is familiar to me only when I know iam about to start my period
(which is supposed to come down either on the 6 or the 7 of march). Two days
passed with me having the discharge. Today when i went to the bathroom i
had noticed some blood (as if i had gotten my period). I know my body and
when iam getting my period i can feel it but this time i did not. it also did not
come down as heavy and so far no cramps (thank god). so i have done some
research and found out about 'implantation bleeding". could this be it? i
looked at the calender and today would make 5 days since i have been to his
house. also yesterday i took my pill a couple of hours late but i took it today.
could the that make my period come down early or something? please help.
thanks

Answer
Hi Karie,

I guess you do know that it is possible to get pregnant from what happened in your situation. No kind of birth control or "protected" sex can make sure that you are 100% safe from pregnancy. Only abstinence is 100% no pregnancy. I am not a doctor so cannot tell you if this is implantation bleeding. You will have to go to your regular physician and have a checkup about your health. In my opinion, taking your birth control a little late is not a big problem. As long as you are fairly regular. But I don't recommend any kind of hormonal birth control because of health risks and other concerns. Please email me at DCHERYL51@yahoo.com so we can talk more. Please put ALLEXPERTS in the subject line. Hope to hear from you soon.

Sincerely,
