Pregnancy Termination & Post-Abortion Concerns: A Medical History

Iam 23 years old, I confirmed my pregnancy on 18/2/08. Then as per the doctors advice i took Mefipristone, totally 4 tablets. On 23/2/08 i got my bleeding, but i didnt have any pain of sort. Even the bleeding was less. Then on 26/2/08 i did Abortion(DNC), since the Doctor said that it would have got partially aborted and its better to  go for DNC.  Then i had sex after 2 weeks but a protected sex with condoms. Again on 23/3/08, i had sex once but without a condom . But i didnt get my periods yet. I took a Pregnancy test today morning i.e 30/3/08. It showd me "Negative". But still iam afriad i would be preganant. OR is it common for a delayed periods after Abortion. Pls reply me . Its very urgent.

Thanks for your question. It is possible that your period is delayed after an abortion. This is somewhat common. Why did your doctor advise you to terminate your pregnancy in the first place? I don't recommend any drug to terminate your pregnancy/having an abortion. Sex with a condom is not really "protected" sex. You can get pregnant even with a condom or even with any form of hormonal birth control. The only 100% effective way of preventing pregnancy is abstinence.
