Answer
Hello, Kait,

There is no way to guarantee an 80% success rate on having one gender or the other. Statistics don't have anything to do with individual cases. It is my understanding that if you have sex on the day you ovulate (but not before), you are more likely to conceive a boy. This is because male sperm swim faster. However, no matter how hard you try to have one gender or the other, it may or may not work. I also wouldn't recommend either that you use any kind of fancy medical means to try to conceive a boy, because these are very hard on a woman's body and they're dangerous, and the chance of birth defects is greater. I also wouldn't recommend you have an abortion if you conceive a girl. Abortion is very dangerous. It could kill you, and then who would take care of your girls? It could leave you seriously disabled. And if you had an abortion and then tried for a boy again, he or she could be born with some fairly serious birth defects.

I can only recommend that you be willing to accept the child you are given, regardless of gender. If you want to weight things more in favor of a boy, you can, but like I said, it may or may not work. Please remember a baby is a human being, and we're not supposed to try to design our children. That's God's prerogative. ;)

I hope things go well for you. Take care.
