QuestionI have an extensive history of cancer in my family. My sister met with a genetic counselor today and had blood drawn for the BRCA gene mutation. He also suggested that I be tested. I am currently 12 weeks pregnant. Will my pregnancy have an effect on the accuracy of my results?
AnswerI do not think so. The test looks for certain genes. That should be possible even if you are pregnant.
