High hCG After Medical Abortion: Understanding Potential Causes & Next Steps

Question
I had a medical abortion. Prior to Medical TOP, doctor performed TVS and determined normal intrauterine pregnancy. LMP 22 August, Mifeproston 6 October, Misoprostol 8 October, repeated Misoprostol 10 October (As my Doctor advised to repeat on 2nd day to make sure to complete the process)
On 30 October TVS showed no RPOC. Uteras size normal, endometrial thikness 8.1 mm, but Beta HCG on 2 November showed 1350 which is too high.
Am confused as the TVS shows it is OK and radiologist don't suggests any ERPC/D&C then what can be the cause of Beta HCG 1350.
Am sure am not pregnant again, as since the procedure we didn't did sex. Am neither bleeding heavily now. No signs of cramp, fever or pain.
Plz advice.

Answer
The umber is consistent with retained POC's.  You can either use Misoprostol or have a D&C.  It can take up to 6 weeks to get back to a normal level.  It has been 3 weeks.  It really depends on what the ultrasound looks like.  I perform my own TVUS so I make the decision myself.
