Affordable Back Pain Relief Options for Teachers

Question
I hope that you will be able to help me. I live in an area where there is only one spa that offers massages. However, it is very pricey, and on a teacher's salary, I really can't get there much. However, I do have constant back pain from many years of being a nursing assistant while in college. This has taken a toll on my back and I often have terrible pain. My husband gives me his version of a massage to try and make me feel better and I appreciate his effort. However, I was wondering if there are any websites I could visit that would give instructions on how to give a message professionaly, or a book that is fairly reasonable in price that I could buy somewhere? If you could help me I would appreciate it? I wouldn't mind learning how to give massages myself so that I can surprise my husband with one.

Thanks,
Ashley

Answer
Thank you for your question, Ashley.

How about checking out www.amazon.com and doing search for "massage" where I found:

The Complete Book of Massage by Clare Maxwell-Hudson (Paperback) New: $13.57  Used: $4.10

The Book Of Massage : The Complete Stepbystep Guide To Eastern And Western Technique by Lucinda Lidell, et al (Paperback)
Buy new: $10.88    Used & new from $5.64

Massage: The Ultimate Illustrated Guide by Clare Maxwell-Hudson, Sandra Lousada (Photographer) (Hardcover)
Buy new: $16.47    Used & new from $8.47

The Complete Guide to Massage by Susan Mumford

Unfortunately I know of no website that gives instruction on how to give a massage, but rather plenty of massage schools and businesses.

Hope the above helps.
