Massage Therapy During Dialysis: Benefits & Risks

I have a client that will be in dialysis for his kidney. He usually gets a massage every week. I was wondering if continuing his massages will be beneficial or harmful to him during dialysis?

When we recall that the kidney's main function is to filter the blood of toxins it would make sense to me that massage would benefit a patient receiving dialysis.

Although without knowing the existing condition of their kidneys massage could actually stress out the client's kidney's and their filtering process.

The answer to your question is to contact their MD and get his/her professional opinion.
