QuestionHi after my intense ,painful deep tissue massage ,I was warned about bruising ,but 7 hours later I have one near my appendix area on the right ,that is raised ,swollen and painful like a varicose vein ,is this anything to worry about as I am ?

Even though sometimes a little discomfort or bruising is the cost of a therapeutic massage session, the welt you describe sounds a little unusual as a reaction, especially if it just the one spot. Did the therapist do any especially deep or prolonged work right there? Without your medical history and knowing more about your session, I can't really tell what might be going on but if it lingers for more than a few days I would certainly have a doctor or nurse take a look at it.
