Understanding French & American Manicures: A Nail Guide

I have had french manicures before, but i have always had acrylic nails, so they would airbrush the white tip and then paint over it with clear polish, but i have seen nails that are painted a darker beige color and i really like that but never knew what it was...do you have any idea of what i am talking about?

I think you are refering to an American manicure. This is when the tip is painted using a beige/pearl color instead of the bright whithe used for the French manicure. If you would like to get this type of manicure, i'm sure any technician or manicure providing French manicure can do this, no matter if she uses airbrush or polishes.
