QuestionHey Tyla!
Considering I'm pretty young, (Grade 8), I was wondering when I should use skin cream, (Day lotion, night lotion, etc.)
My mom says if I put too much cream on, my skin will run out of oil, or something?
So I wanted to get the precise advice on when I should use skin cream, if I should at all, and what I should use.
Thank you!
AnswerYou really dont need to use anything except an oil free sun block made specifically for the face. Use oil free so that, number one, it doesnt clog your pores causing acne, and number two, your mom is kind of right. If you use lotions that are too oily or are too strong for your skin at your age then what happens is this... Too much oil application makes your skin stop producing its own natural oils, because it is tricked into thinking that it is producing too much. You want your skin to keep producing the natural oils it does. You definitely want to use a sun block though to start protecting your skin now. The better you take care of it now the less you will have to use as you get older and the nicer you skin wil be for longer.
Good luck- hope this helps!
