QuestionHi, I'm a manicurist and i have a few older women clients that have nails that are
paper thin and lots of cracking and peeling, also there nails never hold polish.
what products can i use to help with thin cracking nails and also for strength.
what is a good top shine coat as well. thank you
AnswerHi Shavona
if nails are dry and peeling, especially in elderly clients, the most important thing for their nails is to put back the moisture that they have lost from their nails.
I can highly reccommend Solar oil from CND.com. It contains a blend of essential oils with vit c and used twicr daily, it will work within 1-2 weeks.
Dry nails also need strengthening, not hardening.
If you think, a rubber rod is stronger than a glass one as it will bouce due to its flexibility, where as the glass one will shatter because it is so hard.
CND toughen up base coat will cross link over the nail to give it support.
CND Super shiney has light reflecters to appear mega shiney.
Also, do not soak these clients nails in water for more than 1-2 mins as they will absorb water which will repell the enamel later.
Hope this helps
