QuestionI don't really have any pimples or zits, thankfully, and I never wash my face with soap in the morning or at night, I just use water? I have about 3 zits and that's about it, so my first question is, whether or not this is bad to do? you know, not using any scrub or type of wash for my face every night even though I don't really have any pimples?
And my next question is, if you think it would be better to use some type of product on my face (oil-free right?) that would just be healthy and good for it, to keep it clear, clean, and healthy as possible, what specific product(s) would you recommend?
I'm having trouble finding some with unnecessary chemicals that I just don't need?
I am 19 and male. thank you!
AnswerDear Josh,
Facial cleansings soaps have surfactants (surface active agent) which are molecules that help to cleanse skin by removing dirt, oil and bacteria, better than water alone can. To give you an anology, if your hands are visibly dirty and you simply rinse them without washing them with soap, they may look clean after rinsing, but they won't be as clean as if you had used soap to cleanse them.
I appreciate your desire to avoid unnecessary chemicals in your skin care products. Most of the product I help develop are natural. Here are a few products you may want to try that fall into the catagory of natural:
