Vampire Burlesque Makeup: Ideas & Application for a Themed Party

Hello,

I am going to a "Vampire Burlesque" party and I have no idea on what to do with regards to my make up.

I have a bright blue corset top with black shorts and fishnets.  I am also wearing a black fascinator which has black netting that slopes over the one eye.

To keep in the vampire theme I am putting 2 little black dots on my neck and having the tiniest bit of fake blood dripping from it.

The thing is, since I don't wear make up that often at all I am sort of lost for ideas as to what to do and how to apply.

Any and all help would be appreciated!!

Ooh, this will be fun!!

Your outfit sounds perfect for the occasion!

Here are my step by step..

Apply to your eyemakeup on first - foundation/ powder next - lips - nails last.

EYES

- Apply black eyeliner to your eyes and line your brows also.
- Silvery eyeshadow works best.
- Apply lots of mascara on your eyelashes

Apply a VERY LIGHT foundation/ powder if you want that vampirey look..

NO blush is necessary...

LIPS

- The lips should look bloodstained.
- Make sure to line your lips before adding a lipcolor or lipstain - it will last longer
- The lipstick should be RED - the redder the better. I like Wet and Wild and I believe the number is #712
(wish they had names)
- like your idea for the fake blood trickling from the corner of your mouth :)

NAILS

- You can paint them blood red or black.
- If you want to go all out - get those long fingernails - tough to work with but fun :)

HAIR

- Black wig (optional) but would be a great touch :)
