Self-Tanning on the Face: Can Body Lotions Work?

Hello Dawn,

Can self-tanning overall body moisturizers be used on the face?  

All of the facial self-tanning products that I've seen are labeled "fair," and I need a darker color.  The body lotions come in "tan," which is what I need; but I don't know if they're too heavy (or otherwise unsuitable) to be applied to the face.  What is your opinion?

Sorry for the late reply, I have been having computer issues. Regarding your question about self tanners. I would not recommend using the body self tanner on your face as the formulation is different than for the face. There are many product lines of face self tanners that have different shades and you should be able to easily find a darker color to use. If you are looking in a drug store for your product and not having luck, I would suggest going to a Sephora, Ulta or department store and looking there to find it. I hope this helps and keep using the self tanners and not getting too much sun to keep your skin healthy!
