Skincare Advice for Combination Skin: Questions Answered

Question
Dear Mrs Morgane Choisy Rossi,

I have 2 questions concerning skincare i hope you can answer. I have researched them both, but i haven't yet found the solution :(

I have combination skin, and i really don't know what to do when it comes to looking after the face. Each morning and night, i just wash it with cold water and that's it. I don't have any spots. But sometimes my skin looks very plain, and some areas can be darker/lighter in different places (i'm portuguese, so i'm naturally tanned).

I don't have greasy hair, and my skin below my forehead is hardly ever greasy/oily. But there have been many times when i've found my forehead to be quite oily, and so a few spots appear near my hairline and near my eyebrows. And i rarely get spots anywhere else! So i don't know why this happens and how i can prevent this either. The skin on my forehead is now quite rough too. My hair does go onto my forehead throughout the day, as my hair is about 4-5 inches long (but it's curly too). I've read that my hair can spread its natural grease onto my forehead, but since it's curly without any product, it's often quite dry anyway, and when i Use a headband to keep it off during the night, it doesn't really help.

My questions:

1. What skincare routine can you suggest for me?

2. What can i do about my oily forehead to make it smooth and spot free?

Thanks for your time!  Sorry if this is too long.

Yours,

Ryan

Answer
Hello Ryan,

To help you improve your skin, I would suggest the following:
- clean your skin with Lavender floral water morning and evening
- use a little bit of jojoba oil to keep it hydrated and protected, especially on the dry areas
- once/twice a week do a green clay facial mask for 5-10 min. You can find more about clay masks here:

Finally, to help improve your skin tone, you need to act internally with your diet and some detoxification. You can find more about simple steps to do that here:

Take good care
