Hair Highlights: Optimal Timing & Hair Health After Bleaching

Hello,

I'm trying to lighten up my hair & go back to blonde, but I don't want to do the all over colour... I've recently gotten a full head of highlights & my hair feels pretty healthy (though it had previously been coloured dark brown with box dyes), I'm wondering how long I should wait to go in for the next set of highlights, as I'd like to do it as soon as possible?

the person who did your highlights most recently would be able to determine if your hair is healthy enough for another service. i generally do my clients' highlights every 8 weeks. i don't know your hair's total history, but i'm guessing it was blonde, then dyed brown, and now going back to blonde. there is still weakened blonde hair underneath it all, so be patient and do what your hairdresser says, nothing's worse looking than a head of dried damaged hair, no matter how blonde it is.make sure to use deep conditioners every week too.
