Hair Dye Gone Wrong: Fixing Red Tones After a Failed Purple Attempt
Questioni attempted to dye my hair purple (prebleached) and it turned out red? how could i take the red out and reattempt to dye it purple again?
AnswerYou can possibly bleach it out. But that may cause further damage. You can go to any local beauty store and purchase a box or so of color strippers/removers. I have no clue why your hair must've turned red though. Could you have possibly not bleached it light enough? Did you leave the dye on long enough? It tends to be that before the dye sets into your hair as purple, it goes through a BRIEF stage of a medium red. Could you have rinsed the dye out during that stage?
Good Luck!
