QuestionHello!
I coloured my hair today with very bad results..I had about two inches of grey root regrowth and the colour that I chose had mahogany tones to it, therefore it turned my grey roots a vibrant red, which then turns into a darker brown further down the hair shaft..I hate it, but I also know how damaging home colouring is to the hair and do not want to process my hair anymore than necessary. Are there any other options that I can use to tone down this vibrant colour? I look like a fire hydrant..
Please and thank you for any advice that you may have for me
P.S. I did a spell check, but this is how we spell "colour" in Canada! Lol
AnswerI would suggest purchasing a box of Color Oops hair color stripper and using that then redying it a similar color to mahogany. If that is not wanted, then i would suggest purchasing a box of nice medium to tone out the vibrant red. As for the dark brown, you should be able to find a dye that will look gorgeous on the darker brown. The two colors should be matching out.
