Chestnut Brown Hair Color: Scalp Brightness & Touch-Up Concerns

Hi Nirvana, I have naturally dark brown hair and i recently got it colored to chestnut brown.  I thought it was a little too dark at first but its been 2 months now and it has lightened up a little, which i like it.  I'm afraid too go back for a touch up because when i tell the colorist to do it a pinch lighter it comes out light by the scalp area and I feel that my scalp looks bright after i color it .  the chestnut brown did not do that to my scalp but it was a little to dark.  I figured chestnut brown because i have light skin and dark brown eyes, and i hate my base color to look coppery or orange, or too red...Please help me to pick a nice brown base color that is not too dark and not too light, thanks soooo much for your help

Maybe instead of a shade lighter touch up. You could try a shade darker touch up. If you touch up with a shade lighter it will turn lighter then the rest.
If you wouldn't like that you could try a nice cocoa brown.
