QuestionQUESTION: Hello! Not sure if I've written you before. But I have some questions about different makeup samples and just could use some explanation/ideas of how to use them and together or no
1) I get so confused with bronzers and blushes. Because a bronzer always says to apply to cheeks and whereever the sun naturally hits. Now blush also goes to the cheek, so do they go one over the other? Or should they be used separately? can you do blush on the cheeks and then an all-over bronzer without changing your face color?
2) Glow powder versus highlighting. I like the dewy look. And usually I use a tinted glow powder for that. But now I hear others say these glow powders are great for highlighting certain areas that you want to draw attention to. so what do you do? do you highlight with the same powder and then do an all over?? Or do you use a different material to highlight and then glow powder all over? Would you not then use a glow powder and bronzer together, right?
And finally, if you use a glow powder or a bronzer all over, then would you obviously not need a setting powder, right?
I'm so confused, because there is so much out there now. I would love your take no what these materials are to be used for and maybe some combination ideas of how to use them together, thanks so much.

Thanks for your question... Phew! LOL I will try my best to be as clear as I can in my answer here :)
1. Bronzers and blush can be used in tandem or alone, yes you could use a bronzer all over, but I would apply the blush
after the bronzer, not the other way around as the blush will most likely be negated by the bronzer. In saying that, I use a bronzer as I prefer a more brown base on my cheeks, over a pink one, so there is a variable there. But I would never use my blush as a bronzer!! LOL
2. Once again you can do as you mention with the glow powder, but I would do it all over - then highlight. You could also opt to go for a different highlighter if you find that the glow powder simply does not give desired effect when employing this technique. No a setting powder would not be required if using it all over :)
Yes, there is a lot of products now available, remember, more often then not, you most likely do not need them all! Additionally, one product may be referred to something by one manufacturer, and by another term by another, yet they are the same strain of product, designed for the same action.
Basically, find the products that give you the result you want and stick to that, adding products as you find them, should you find something simply irresistable! :)

Could you use bronzer no your cheeks, then blush just on apples, and then a glow powder over all to set? But not bronzer all over and glow powder all over?
Obviously if I use a glow powder, and want to highlight after, the highlight has to be a powder, it can't be a cream, right? That causes me issues a swell, because my bronzer per say is a powder, and my blush is a cream. so it makes it hard for me to do my blush AFTER my bronzer.
And finally, if I have a long oval face, would you recommend any contouring, or not really?? Thanks so much.

Of course you could do that, thats no issue at all. Additionally, yes, you could use bronzer all over and then set with the glow powder, there is not strict rule set on any of this :)
No, there should be no issue with using a cream highlighter over bronzer powder - most creams blend in nicely, but test your own products and do it gently so you limit disturbing the powder underneath.
Yes contouring would be recommended on an oval facejust below the cheek bone and on the bone on the outer part of the eye :)
