Uneven Waves: Why Waves Only Form on One Side & How to Fix It

How you doing.. first of all thanks for answering our questions and sharing your knowledge. One problem I have had for as long as I can remember is that when I decide to get waves and put the work in, they only come in on one side. No matter what I do they only show on the left side and that comes with little or no effort, but the right side not one wave shows up. I been cuttin my own hair for a few years but this been goin on way longer.. whats my problem?

Honestly Jerry the only thing I can think of is work on it harder try different techniques as far as cutting you hair and getting waves do not cut too low start with a 1 1/2 (depending if you have thin or thick hair) then work on your waves!  even if you feel you need a cut work on the waves!
