Begin by applying a good layer of base coat on your nails to prevent dark colors from staining your nail beds and harmful effects of acrylic paint. Let it dry. Once done, Paint all your nails with two or three coats of white nail polish. You can also use any light shade of your choice.
Next, make thick vertical stripes on both sides of your nails, curving them a bit towards the base as shown in the picture. I have used black acrylic paint and a 0 no. brush for this purpose. However, you can also use black polish or even better, a black striping polish. You can also cut off a strip of sticking tape and stick it in the centre of your nail so that you can paint with black on its sides.
Once it dries, use a dotting tool or a toothpick, and make three small dots on the black stripes with the help of your white polish. Alternately, if you are using another base color, make the dots with the same color.
Now is the most interesting part. Use the same brush or striping tape or polish, and make a criss-cross pattern like shoe laces. Start with the topmost left dot; join it diagonally to the middle right dot. Connect that dot diagonally to the bottom left dot. Repeat the same on the other side. Let it dry thoroughly. Once done, use a cotton swab dipped in acetone to clean the colour off your fingers.
Apply two good layers of a transparent topcoat to seal in your nail art. So, here you have the girly corset print in its final form.
