I have never owned a glitter eyeliner. It’s the sort of thing teenagers wear. I’m not sure they even existed when I was a teenager. And if they did, I had already spent all my money on bus fare and Macdonalds, in any case! Now I’m no longer in my Twenties even and perhaps the age I can get away with glitter eyeliner is over. I’m not going let that get in my way. These eyeliner tubes looked so glitzy, I couldn’t turn them down.
Collection does glitter liners in 10 shades, black, silver, gold, purples, pinks, blue, and green. I tried a few in store and chose a gold (aka Funk) and a green (Le Freak). They cost £2.99. They come in clear tubes with a liner brush.

How Glam Crystals Performed-
I found them pretty easy to apply. Glitter eyeliner is a lot more forgiving than black liquid liner. It can go over eyeshadow, primer or liquid liner. You can do one swipe for a sheer coat and add another layer for more glitter. I found Glam Crystals to contain a good amount of glitter, I was worried that the glitter would be a bit stingy. No, they give a decent amount of glitter particles and add some fun and sparkle to eye makeup. Every time I blinked there was Ann eye catching sparkle.
Here are the swatches-
The gold, “Funk”, so called because of its disco ball quality, is gold glitter in a clear base. Le Freak (the green one) is green/silver glitter in a green/teal base. Here’s how they look on-

They give a bright pop of glitter to brighten up your day. It made me smile every time I looked in the mirror to see my sparkly eyes. I wore it with eyeshadows in the pics, but I think it would look great with a cat flick liner. I think I prefer the Teal shade, for it’s mermaid appeal, but the gold is very pretty too, and maybe more versatile.
How did it wear?
I left the swatches on my arm and went about my business. This is how they looked after a couple of hours-
Most of the glitter is gone. Not ideal. It doesn’t take much to rub off this liner. Le Freak leaves a stain of colour, which is better than nothing, I suppose. On the eyelid, Glam Crystals will stick around reasonably well as long as you don’t touch your eyes at all. At one point while I was wearing it I glanced in the mirror and there was a flake of the liner perched only eyelash. I would steer well clear of this stuff if you wear contacts. It’s really a shame that they don’t last well because they look jolly nice.
I really like Collection as a budget brand. It’s very affordable, and some of their products are great and I use them every day (e.g. Their loose powder). Glam Crystals isn’t Collection’s finest product unfortunately, I really wanted to give them a thumbs up, but I can’t. These liners are okay for a bit of fun but they don’t last all that well.
Overview of Collection’s Glam Crystals Glitter Eyeliner
Pros-
Cons-
Collection’s Glam Crystals are only so so. If you want to try glitter liner and want something that will last a bit longer you might want to check out Urban Decay, Kiko or Nyx‘s offerings. I tried them all too, in store and they all had more staying power. I think the Kiko and Nyx glitter liners cost about £5 so they are more expensive than the Collection liners but not by much. The Urban Decay liners weighed in at a hefty £14.
