Soft Pink Smoky Eye Makeup Tutorial | Freedom Dreamcatcher Palette

Today I wanted to create a soft smoky, sort of romantic eye look. There are a couple of pretty pink shades in my new Freedom Dreamcatcher Palette that I wanted to try. Pink isn’t a colour I use often for eye makeup for fear it makes my eyes look inflamed. I think if paired with black eyeliner it could make for a sort of girly rock and roll look.

I’ve done a shimmery smokey eye but you could try liquid eyeliner and a matte pink (you could use a blusher even), I think that would look great. Pink eyeshadow looks especially good on blue eyes, which I don’t have, but that’s not stopping me.

These are the makeup and brushes I used-

  1. Urban Decay Eyeshadow Potion in Eden

  3. A black YSL liner that I’ve had long time
  4. Bourjois Volume Max Holidays Mascara (a little side note- I love this mascaras big fat brush but they’ve stopped making it, sob)Soft Pink Smoky Eye Makeup Tutorial | Freedom Dreamcatcher Palette
  5. Kiko’s Smokey Eyeshadow brushes, they are great brushes, very soft and dense- perfect for blending. I also used a small slanted MAC brush for applying brows and eyeliner.Soft Pink Smoky Eye Makeup Tutorial | Freedom Dreamcatcher Palette

To start with I primed my lids then lined with the black eyeliner. I blended the liner into my lashes and waterline with the slanted brush and took it out to a cats flick. Then I applied a pink shadow (number 1) to the whole lid.

I should have done my eye makeup first so that fall out from the shadow doesn’t ruin my foundation, but I never remember. I tidied up with a powder brush, applied mascara and Bob’s your uncle- a pretty pink smokey look.

(For the rest of my face I used Vichy Dermablend foundationFreedom brow pomade, Rosie for Autograph cream blushMary LouManiser by the Balm to highlight and Freedom  Pro Melt in Up on my lips)
