Manicure expert Jin Soon Choi is venturing into the nail polish creation with her first set of fabulous tones to help you look put together at all times. Check out her first offerings and find more about her new project.
Getting tips from industry experts as far as manicure is
concerned is great. Seeing stylish alternatives which are the
result of their creativity put into practice is even better,
though. This is why we are so excited by the new project the
renowned runway manicurist Jin Soon Choi has embarked on. She is
launching her own nail polish line and with over 25 years of
experience in her field, we sure can trust her to present us
flattering alternatives.
Jin Soon Choi is apparently a big believer in the 'less is more'
mantra. Instead of trying to match the current trends which are all
about different effects and the constant desire to stand out with
something new, she believes women are better off sticking with
classics: High fashion doesn’t do glitter. But [it] is all about
color — and high gloss without shimmer. I want to challenge
[people] with a classic but more modern way of thinking about
fashion,” she told Style.com.
As conservative as she might see herself, when it comes to nail
polish formulas, she takes a modern approach. Aside from delivering
high quality, timeless nail polish tones you'll love wearing over
and over, she is also concerned with making the process of
prettying up as safe as possible. Sure, her nail polishes contain
no toluene, formaldehyde, or dibutyl phthalate, but she wanted to
take a step further and made sure they didn't contain camphor and
no formaldehyde resin either. They do, however, contain good for
you ingredients like biotin, diamond particles, phycocoral, and
keratin amino acids to keep your nails healthy, strong and
chip-free.
Some of the timeless must-haves include: Coquette (a rich red),
Audacity (a deep wine), Risqué (a blackened cherry), Nostalgia (a
pink beige), Muse (a sheer pink), and Tulle (a transparent nude).
Since she's been the mastermind behind so many covetable runway
manis over the years, she also took quite a lot of inspiration from
some of her favorite models: Caroline Trentini’s Austere (a dark
olive green); Guinevere Van Seenus’ Metaphor (a deep hunter green);
Hyoni Kang’s Charade (a true teal); Jamie Bochert’s Auspicious (a
dusty lavender); Karlie Kloss’ Debonair (a dark purple); and Coco
Rocha’s Rhapsody (a deep dark gray).
