Serving sparkling water no longer requires the purchase of bottles with fancy, unpronounceable French names. Devices to add carbonation create sparkling, fizzy water in the convenience of your home. The simplest and cheapest route is to invest in a seltzer bottle. A seltzer bottle is the size of a two-liter soda bottle and remains in your refrigerator to keep its contents chilled. You need only replace the disposable CO2 cartridges.
Unscrew the top spout and remove it.
Fill the seltzer bottle with cold water to the fill mark inside the bottle.
Screw the top spout back onto the bottle.
Insert a CO2 cartridge into the back of the cartridge holder.
Unscrew to remove the cap covering the cartridge holder slot in the top spout of the seltzer bottle.
Screw the cartridge holder into the cartridge holder slot back of the top spout.
Shake the bottle vigorously.
Unscrew the cartridge holder and replace the cap covering the slot on the top spout.
Push the lever to dispense the sparkling water.
Shake the bottle between servings. Store the remaining water in the refrigerator.
