See how Pilates can help regulate your metabolism with this easy exercise.
Lifestyle, stress and genetics can take a toll on the thyroid, a gland at the front of the neck that produces hormones to regulate metabolism, energy and other bodily functions.
Try this: Lie on your back, arms by your sides, palms flat on the floor, legs extended to the ceiling. Exhale to roll your legs over and up into a shoulder stand. Hold and breathe in, then exhale as you slowly roll back down, keeping the feet in line with your face as you roll. This can be tricky on your neck, so you can modify by setting up with a Swiss ball against the wall and using your straight legs to roll it up the wall.
