Relieve neck stress with this easy Pilates position.
Neck and shoulder stress is so common these days, and our computers, if we use them daily, are often to blame. However, we need them, so the best option is to combat the effects of our technological lives with some regular relief. Try this Pilates-based neck and shoulder release to help relieve your symptoms.
Sit (pictured) or stand, holding a taut, rolled-up towel over your head – hold it wider than your shoulders. Bend your elbows to bring the towel to the top of your head, keeping your elbows pressing wide and back. Return to the start position. If you find it too difficult, try it while lying down.
