Think your regular HIIT class is tough? Try doing it on ice
Yep, you read that right. London-based fitness studio 1Rebel has launched a new class called Rebels on Ice that involves high-intensity interval training on an ice rink.
A 20-minute HIIT class on an outdoor ice rink without the skates. Combining cardio lap runs with strength moves like squats, the 1Rebel team put participants through their paces in a fun, outdoor space
Forget sprints on the treadmill and think high-knees and burpees on a trickier terrain. And when it comes to strength work, the 1Rebel team make the most of the slippery surface by pushing people to squat and lunge deeper.
The added challenge of not stacking it in public keeps your core engaged for the full twenty minutes which organisers say burns about 200 calories.
While this chilly workout is only offered in the UK for now, check out Agoga or Orangetheory Fitness to get your HIIT fix on this side of the pond.
