Exploring a Career in Dietetics & Starting a Nutrition Business

I noticed you own a consulting business called Nutrition Focus.  I am a high school senior and I am doing a project on Dietetics as a career. I would really love to own a business like that--maybe a weight-management business.  How did you come about owning your business?  What are the pros and cons? Thanks!

Owning your own business take a lot of work and planning.  You need to create a marketing and business plan before you even get started!  It took a lot of work before hand.  The hardest part is staying busy on a regular basis.  That is all up to me.  The more work I put into it the more work I get.  Some of the cons is that it can be very up and down financially.  But the pros are a lot more freedom and the ability to run your business the way you want to. It is very hard work but worth it to me!
