QuestionI workout and am not in bad shape. However my eating habits are bad. I always seem to be hungry and am not sure what to eat all the time. I try to stay away from fats and sugars, but it is hard to satisfy my hunger in doing so. I just want to eat better to go along with my workout program. Thanks
AnswerHi Chris,
What we've found to be true: When you get what you need, you don't overeat. When you don't get what you need, you stay hungry, even if you eat a lot of food.
When you first get hungry, eat something smart. Don't argue with basic instincts to eat Real Food by going around hungry - eventually one will pig out on junk. When your appetite is tuned up, your body can tell you what you need and when to quit.
You can eat all the raw fruit you want, whenever you want. If you need something stronger, add a few raw nuts.
Don't mix protein with carbs, let them take turns. You can eat meat, you can eat potatoes, same day, just not at the same meal.
