Potatoes vs. Rice: A Nutritional Comparison

Question
Dear Sir,

1. Would it be a healthier option to substitute white rice with potatoes? The white rice we get is not fortified in any way. And I believe potatoes are more nutritious as well as cheaper. Am I right?

2. What nutrients, if any, would I lose out on if I replace white rice with potatoes? In the same vein, what nutrients, if any, would I gain by doing the same?

3. How to make sure or detect that the Extra Virgin Olive Oil I buy is not adulterated?

Thankfully yours,
Yasser

Answer
Olive oil has bo be Extra Virgin to say that on the label in the US.
Potatoes have more nutrients in the skin than the potatoe itself. If your rice is not brown rice or basmati rice it has very little nutrients in it so yes it is better to eat potatote, but include washed skin.
